Multi Extensometer

Multiextensometers or multipoint extensometers, are devices designed to monitor, at high spatial (and temporal) resolution, absolute or differential movements in soil or rock.

They simultaneously detect the movement of a number of concrete measuring bases located at different depths in the soil, with respect to the probe head to which they are connected.
The gauges connecting the measuring bases on the head (usually situated on the surface) consist of (invar, zinc-plated steel or fiberglass) telescopic cylinders and are designed to minimize its friction with the element being tested or the adjacent ones and, therefore, to allow a precise and reliable measuring.
